Freedom House survey shows growing democracy

I registered on this site mainly to obtain a direct contact who may be able to help direct me to where I can obtain some information via internet or e-mail on the Indentured Indians of Surinam, i.e. with respect to historical information as well as current Indian population and religious/cultural practices in Surinam.

I'm always a little bit sceptic about how to mesure freedom or democracy. Especially regarding women. If it's a question of economic improvment, then I guess to increase purchasing parity will give asnse of more freedom.
Does it feel like more freedom in Suriname now?
