Recipe help

Hello. I am trying to learn to cook some recipes for a dear friend that grew up in Suriname as a missionaries daughter. I've found some recipes and attempted to translate from Dutch, but not knowing how the dishes should taste, I'm having a bit of difficulty. If anyone could send an English language recipe for any of the following, I would be most grateful.

They also show the Bami Goreng recipe and I am sure there are many more great ones----I find the site easy to use.
