Work and live in Suriname
Hi, my name is Brudi, I live in Indonesia and was looking into relocating to another country to get away from the rat race to check out Suriname. I need info on how difficult it is to immigrate and what is the process and how long it would take etc etc.
Last year Prime Ministry of Suriname ever been come in Indonesia and he give to who is interest to live or work in Suriname at local news paper (Kompas), I am very interest to work and live in Suriname but I don’t know immigration procedure to Suriname.
Any information that you have found regarding work and immigration in Suriname would be gratefully appreciated.

When I was visit to suriname embassy last month and met with somebody in there, for visit to suriname I have must sponsor from anybody in surinam, unfortunately I don't have friends in there.. could you help me with another idea or get sponsor in suriname? this is first flight I go to suriname...

i think u could come here first on vacation, make friends, and then it will go easier i think, make sure u get to stay for at least 3 months. thats enough time to make friends :D

How is suriname to work in? I am 40 Years old from India; Am married and has a 3 Year old daughter; If I get a job offer, can I trust the offer and take it? How is life there? How about Schools- are there good schools? Will We get good family Accommodation? Is there any law and order problem? How are the people there?

Its all upto your decision, what kind of life you wanna spend, though I am giving you one line answer of your quarry...Dont compare Suriname to US. Suriname is yet to develop, but its a peacful place to spend holidays, resoureces are lil less, and if you compare with your current location (Dubai) than U might be very disappointing.But its all depend on your job profile. As Suriname has lots of gold mines, so if you have that kind of profile so no issue on that. Suriname has only one university but has good amount of primary schools. And if you are thinking Suriname is better place to work compare to India, so think once again before leaving India.

i think suriname is such a fine place to settle in, i've checked with some travel networks how suriname is, and even if its not yet developed, i think it has great potential.

I think you should go to the Suriname Embassy in Jakarta. There they willl be able to answer all your questions.
