Orchid trip

Hey,
Sorry for the pore English I speak Dutch!
I'm planning an orchid-trip. Not to collect but to find, study and make pictures of orchids. I'm thinking of renting a room in Paramaribo and visiting first some places on day trips. Can you recoment places to visit?
Are there local collections, growers, botanical gardens?
What would be the easyest way to visit Willehmina peak, ore the higher places near the Brasilian border?
Are there any low budget accomodations you would recoment outside Paramaribo. I'm thinking about small places in the inland.

I don't know much about Suriname but love to travel.
